Melissa's in the business of creating joyful Judaism for all ages! No matter if you are looking for Torah study, someone to officiate your b-mitzvah, wedding, or naming ceremony for any gender, Melissa is here to guide you the way you want to learn. No politics or judgment, just joyful judaism.
We knew Melissa would be our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah mentor from our first meeting! We loved her warm personality and enthusiastic teaching style. She did more than just sit down and teach from books. She combined her love of cooking and teaching and taught about Purim while making Hamantaschen, latkes for Hanukkah. Melissa was also the calm, reassuring hand guiding us parents through the Bat Mitzvah timeline! It was a pleasure having her become part of Alyssa’s Bat Mitzvah journey; she has now become part of our extended family.

So much more fun than I thought. I wish our lessons were longer!

Melissa was kind, attentive, and always cheerful. We had to bumble our way through our son’s Bar Mitzvah training as COVID shut everything down. Melissa kept an upbeat attitude that brought laughter and interest to a tradition that can feel heavy and irrelevant to a young adult's life. I wholeheartedly believe that my son’s connection to his Judaism was ignited and fostered by Melissa, and we are so very grateful.

We loved working with Melissa in getting our son Jake ready for his bar mitzvah and leading the service. Melissa was always full of energy and positivity. She was flexible with our schedules and did a wonderful job with Jake. The service ran smoothly and Jake was more than ready for his big day! We have gladly recommended Melissa to our friends and she is currently working with our younger son Lucas. -Rada Bash, parent
Melissa tutored my daughter Madaline for her Bat Mitzvah in 2016. Madaline’s beautifully chanted Torah and Haftarah portions and her preparedness to lead the service were because of Melissa’s tutoring. Melissa is both a patient and knowledgeable teacher and a kind and fun one. She made the sessions something my daughter anticipated each week. One last indication of Melissa’s thoughtfulness: when she visited Israel, she bought a hamsa for Madaline because she remembered that was Madaline’s party theme. My husband, Madaline, and I are grateful for Melissa’s tutoring.
